Using a USB Flash Drive from ECF Linux

When you plug a USB flash drive into an ECF Linux workstation, an icon should automatically appear on your desktop. You can access the files on the drive by double-clicking the icon and copy files to or from the drive by dragging and dropping them.

The drive will also appear in the filesystem under the media directory.

Important: When you have finished using the USB drive, you should unmount it by right-clicking on the icon and selecting “Unmount Volume” before you physically unplug the drive. Failing to unmount the drive before removing it may result in loss of data. A drive cannot be unmounted while it is in use by an application.
