Overview
The Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering conducts annual surveys to learn more about the overall experience of Engineering undergraduate students. These surveys include the First Year Welcome, First Year Exit, Third Year Exit and Graduating Student surveys. Each survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete.
The purpose of these surveys is to better understand the U of T Engineering undergraduate student experience, and more effectively assess our programs and services. Survey responses will be linked to data drawn from additional University data sources including ROSI in order to inform program and service improvements over time, and enhance the overall quality of the Engineering undergraduate student experience. Survey responses are confidential and will only be accessed by designated staff for the purpose of administering the survey. All responses are anonymized prior to being used for reporting, publication (print or web), and research purposes.
Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, key highlights from the aggregated survey data will be published annually and will be available publicly. A link to the report will be included on this page.
Current Surveys
The 2024 First Year Exit, Third Year Exit and Graduating Student surveys were sent to all first-year, third-year, and graduating students by email on March 20, 2024.
The First Year Exit and Third Year Exit surveys were open until 11:59 p.m. (ET) on May 8, 2024, and are now closed. The Graduating Student survey was open until 11:59 p.m. (ET) on June 25, 2024, and is now closed.
The 2024 First Year Welcome Survey will be sent to all incoming first-year students at the beginning of the Fall Term.
