Business skills are a key part of an engineer’s toolkit, enabling them to excel in various roles across industries. These skills, ranging from enhanced project management, communication, and leadership abilities to financial acumen and an understanding of ethical and sustainable practices, are vital for advancing innovation and enterprise.
Through this minor, students will delve into the business dimension of engineering, gaining an understanding of finance, markets and organizational behaviour. Courses cover wealth production and creation, accounting, research and development, management, economics and entrepreneurship, all within a global context.
Students with limited elective availability have the option of pursing an Engineering Business Certificate. Note: students may only receive credit on their transcript for one of the following: Engineering Business Certificate, Entrepreneurship Certificate, or Engineering Business Minor.
Eligibility
Apart from Engineering Science students enrolled in Math, Statistics or Finance Majors, all Engineering undergraduates may enrol.
