Welcome to the U of T Engineering 2026 Summer Enrolment & Registration Guide!

In this guide, you will find information about the enrolment and registration process for Engineering courses and Arts & Science courses. Please review the steps below before registering.

Important Dates

To officially register for the Summer Term, you must complete the following two steps:

  1. Enrol in a course. Engineering courses open on April 1, 2026, at 6 a.m. Arts & Science courses open on April 6, 2026, at 6 a.m.
  2. Pay or Defer Tuition Fees by April 22, 2026. The invoice for Summer Term courses will be posted in ACORN in mid-April 2026.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Enrolment Dates for Engineering Students

Review the 2026 Summer Term Sessional Dates in the Academic Calendar for important dates and deadlines.

April 6, 2026Enrolment for Arts & Science courses opens on ACORN at 6 a.m.

Students may enrol or join the waitlist for up to 1.5 credits in the Summer Term. This can be either:

  • Three half-credit (F or S) courses or
  • One full-credit (Y) course and one half-credit course (F or S)

If two courses are scheduled at the same time, students must choose one to avoid a scheduling conflict. If you are required to take more than 1.5 credits, please get in touch with your Academic Advisor.

Step 2: Enrolling in Engineering Courses

Students may enrol in Engineering Summer Term courses on ACORN starting April 1, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. The available Engineering summer courses and their enrolment information can be found on Timetable BuilderStudents may also view summer course offerings on the Engineering Faculty Timetable.

The timetables will indicate how each course will be delivered. Please note that all Engineering final exams will be held in person. Course-specific expectations will be provided by the instructor. Learn more about how to enrol in courses through ACORN.

Note: First-year engineering summer courses may be updated until March 30. Please check the Faculty Timetable.

Step 3: Enrolling in Arts & Science Courses

The first day that Engineering students may enrol in Arts & Science Summer Term courses in ACORN is April 6, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. Students are encouraged to use Timetable Builder and review the 2026 Summer Term Arts & Science dates.

Before you consider enrolling in an Arts & Science Summer Term course, please review the information below.

Step 4: Complete Your Registration by Paying or Deferring Fees

April 23, 2026 - May 5, 2026Monitor your ACORN registration status.

If your status has not changed to “Registered” by May 1, you must provide proof of payment to the Registrar's Office by May 5 at 4 p.m.
May 6, 2026Financial cancellation deadline: courses and waitlists removed for non-registered students.

To complete the registration process, students must pay or defer their fees by April 22, 2026, to ensure their registration status is updated before May 6, 2026.
