Mental Health Support

The Skule™ Mental Health Bursary can be used towards a range of resources and services related to mental health and wellness. These may include:

  • 1:1 counselling sessions (in addition to UTSU Health & Dental plan coverage)
  • Group therapy sessions
  • Peer support groups
  • Subscription to wellness apps or services
  • Subsidizing the cost of mental health-related medications (does not include naturopathic remedies)

The bursary is not intended to cover other costs incurred as an undergraduate student, such as those listed below. Students facing financial need can view the financial support available to engineering students.

"Receiving the Skule™ Mental Health Bursary has allowed me to continue bi-weekly therapy sessions and cover the costs beyond what the student insurance plan provides. This has been very helpful as I am completing my final semester here at UofT Engineering and alleviated a lot of financial anxiety related to mental health costs."

2024 Bursary Recipient

“I applied to the Skule™ Mental Health Bursary to cover the cost of psychotherapy sessions after maxing out the coverage under the student health plan. The application process was very easy and straightforward. I hope more students become aware of the Bursary and make use of the funding.”
