The global mineral resources sector encompasses many disciplines and includes career opportunities in mineral exploration, resource estimation, mining finance, and mine planning, design and operation. Environmental protection is a top priority in all these sectors, each of which adheres to strict international legislative frameworks.
This certificate will enable students to gain exposure to the mining sector, while focusing on an area of interest through courses from one of four themes: mine planning & design, mineral resources & economics, mining & the environment, and assessment & management of mineral resources.
