First Year Foundations Programs
As part of our range of optional First Year Foundations programs, we offer three small class experiences in August that provide a fun, non-credit opportunity to get comfortable with some of the topics you’ll study in first year. Each of these programs will provide you with the opportunity to get one-on-one attention from instructors as you are introduced to the following topics:

Learn more about the above programs and our other First Year Foundations programs.

Update: If you were unable to join us for our recent Academic Orientation sessions (or just want to revisit the content), an interactive online module covering the same important topics has now been posted!

OSAP / Financial Aid

If you are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person in need of financial aid, and have not yet applied for OSAP (or for non-Ontario residents, your province’s student loan program), please submit your application right away. Although applications are accepted even after the start of classes, applying now means you will be able to defer your tuition in ACORN by the August 20 deadline. As well, applying now ensures your funds are sent to the University early in September.

To learn more about financial aid, please see the Enrolment Services website and the Student Accounts website. You can read more about financial aid and other financial matters in the Guide to First Year.

Final Transcripts

At this time, our offices are closed to courier traffic; we will process incoming postal mail but there may be a delay.

  • If you are a current Ontario high school student, your grades will be forwarded to our Admissions office automatically by the OUAC.
  • If you are a current BC high school student, PSI transcripts will be sent to us at the end of July.
  • Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) results should be sent electronically from the issuing body directly to the University of Toronto.
  • U of T is registered to receive electronic documents viaNaviance eDocs/Docufide (Parchment Exchange).
  • All other applicants are asked to submit their final transcripts/results to the Engineering Applicant Portal and we will contact you regarding the submission of official results.

The First Year Office team periodically updates our Frequently Asked Questions page, and you’re always welcome to email us or use our live chat during office hours for questions that you can’t find answers to.
