SUMMARY:Pre-Registration for 2026-2027
DESCRIPTION:Course pre-registration is open on Degree Explorer from February 11 to February 24. \nThis is an annual process where you select which program options and technical electives you plan to take in the next academic year. \nThis is used to add you to your core and technical elective courses. It also allows the Faculty to assess course demand. \nWho Must Complete Pre-Registration? \n\nCurrent Year 2 and Year 3 full-time students\nStudents currently on a PEY Co-op work term and returning to studies\nCurrent students who plan to take part in a PEY Co-op work term next year\n\nHow to Complete Pre-Registration? \nSubmit your primary plan through Degree Explorer by February 24\, at 11:59 p.m. Please review step-by-step instructions to complete pre-registration. \nWhen selecting your technical electives\, ensure they meet your program requirements as listed in the Curriculum and Programs sections of the Academic Calendar. Additionally\, pay close attention to how many technical/free electives you can enrol in. If you select more courses than your program allows\, you will be removed from excess technical elective(s). \nFor questions regarding curriculum or program requirements\, please get in touch with your department’s undergraduate office.

SUMMARY:Last Day to Drop Full-Year Courses Without Academic Penalty
DESCRIPTION:February 16\, 2026\, is the last day students can drop Full Year (Y-Term) courses without academic penalty. \nNotes: \n\nPlease be aware that a student taking a Y-term course will not be allowed to drop this course in the Winter Term if a recalculation of their Fall Term load shows that dropping the course will reduce the F-term course load to fewer than 2.5 credits.\nThe last date to cancel a course or cancel your registration in a session with no academic penalty may not always coincide with the last date that you are eligible for a refund. Review the refund schedules for applicable dates and deadlines: studentaccount.utoronto.ca.\n\nFor the complete list of sessional dates\, visit the Engineering Academic Calendar.
