Financial Cancellation Date: Courses Removed for Non-Registered Students

Before course enrolment begins, eligible students are “Invited” to register for the upcoming session. Their status will then change to “Registered or “Financially Cancelled” based on the following:

Submitted Payment of Time – Registered:

• Submitting a payment or deferral before August 19, 2026.
• Registration will be processed on ACORN (may take up to 5-10 business days).
• Once your registration has been processed, your status on ACORN will change to “Registered.” Your registration is complete!

Missed Payment Deadline – Financially Cancelled:

• If payment or deferral is submitted after the deadline, your registration may not be processed before the Financial Cancellation deadline on September 2, 2026. Students whose status has not changed to “Registered” by the Financial Cancellation deadline will be removed from their courses.
• If your status has not changed to “Registered” on ACORN by August 31, you must provide proof of payment or deferral by September 1 at noon. Please email the Registrar’s Office at registrar@engineering.utoronto.ca, including a screenshot of the payment confirmation (include the payment date, the amount paid, and the account to which the payment was made) or proof of deferral (proof of funding from OSAP, your funding summary and the completed deferral form).
