This session will build on the learning from the “How Identity Impacts Learning” workshop series through small group discussion and reflective activities. We will delve more deeply into how the university can be a site of exclusion for marginalized identities that are underrepresented within academia and how that can impact learning and engagement for students. We will discuss some of the common ways that that identity can impact learning in the student experience and discuss learning strategies that can lessen the impact of these feelings.
