Application Dates

Re-enrolment for the Fall Term

If you applied for re-enrolment for the Fall Term by March 11, the Faculty will notify you of their decision by June 15.

If the application is received after March 11, the Faculty will notify you of their decision as it is processed but cannot guarantee any notification before June 15.

Re-enrolment for the Winter Term

If you applied for re-enrolment for the Winter Term by September 29, the Faculty will notify you of their decision by November 10.

If the application is received after September 29 the Faculty will notify you of their decision as it is processed but cannot guarantee any notification before November 10.

First Year Students

Re-enrolment and Re-admission

If you would like to return to the Faculty after a mandatory or short personal absence, review your academic standing in ACORN to see if you need to apply for re-enrolment or re-admission.*

To review your academic standing, log in to your ACORN account and click Transcript / Academic History Options > Display Academic History > Display Complete Academic History.

After reviewing your academic standing in ACORN, contact an Academic Advisor in the First Year Office. The Advisor will be able to let you know, based on your academic history and circumstances, whether or not you are eligible to apply for re-enrolment or re-admission.

The re-enrolment application can be accessed through the Engineering Portal.

*Re-admission is not guaranteed. Students applying for re-admission are encouraged to submit supplementary documentation to the First Year Office to support their requests.

Upper-Year Students (Years 2, 3, 4)

Re-enrolment

If you would like to return to the Faculty to repeat a failed session or after a brief personal absence, review your academic standing in ACORN. To review your academic standing, log in to your ACORN account and click Transcript / Academic History Options > Display Academic History > Display Complete Academic History.

Review your personalized re-enrolment comments form in detail as you are responsible for meeting the course requirements.

Academic Standing and Promotional Regulations

Review your academic standing in ACORN and the corresponding promotion rules outlined in the Academic Calendar.

Course Enrolment and Registration

Based on your Re-enrolment Comments Form, use ACORN to enrol in any required HSS/CS/technical elective/free elective courses you are required to take. The Office of the Registrar will add your required core courses to the system.

Information regarding technical and complementary electives, practical, tutorial and labs will be covered in the Fall and Winter Enrolment and Registration Guide.

General Course Timetable

U of T Engineering and Arts & Science timetables are available online. Timetables will be updated toward the end of June.

Fees & invoices

Please review the Fall-Winter Enrolment and Registration Guide for additional details. The Engineering fee schedule for the academic year will be available on the Student Accounts website. Please familiarize yourself with it.

The University no longer mails paper invoices to students. You may check your financial balance in ACORN. Payments can be made at all major banks. Delays in payment may result in the cancellation of your registration.
